"where's nigel, i have to write to that filthy boy!" says margie oden upon reading nigels misquotation following the blog entry "afraid of heights."
following the reoccuring Tyler Durdin quotes, nigel was reported to type "mastubation is self-improvment." clearly inverting the famous phrase "self-improvement is masturbation" and destroying it's poetic meaning. i guess Frued was right.
"T.M.I." says margie, "is nigel going to start his own show, 'self-improvment with nigel olsen.' GROSS!" i guess it would be on showtime after 1:00 am. "too breakback mountian!" yes, that's how she said it.
with all the cynical and intellectual readers that GREGSPACE (outerspace eat your heart out) has, i'm shocked that no-one called nigel out on this particular fruedian slip. jake is often the first to point these things out.
perhaps, on the other hand, nigel is proudly letting his flag (had to be careful typing that one) fly to the world, releasing his newest lease on life with a philosophy that we can do nothing but puke about. i'm not here to make fun of, or belittle nigel, but to make note of my sainted mothers reaction to an unexpected comment.
not that she thinks he fat, or that she'll put a cigarette out in his eye, but that she's totally disgusted at the visual (which if hadn't attacked you yet, has now). it's not often i devote a whole blog to someone else, and this one isn't devoted to nigel as much as it is my mom.
in the oft appropriate prose that only margie can speak, "OH, GOD NIGEL, GET A WOMAN!"
