oh, no! oh, yeah!

we've waited, scrimped, saved and deliver...and it's finally here, the venerable M1 Garand. there's nothing like seeing a small animal through your peep sight, aplying 9 ozs on the trigger and seeing it disappear.

i'm not going to storm normandy, i'm not going to climb a clock tower and go for a new record or personal best (although climbing the clock tower might be fun, i wouldn't haul up my new rifle), and i'm not going to shoot bambi the first time i see him (i'll shoot bambi's daddy, maybe i'll shoot bambi when he grows a rack). but it is enjoyable.

jason and jake have talked about repeling off of Carpenters bluff bridge, or rather, how jason and i repelled off of it. jake tried, but his failure wasn't his fault. it was a valient effort, jake, we will remember you always...
