"Study without desire spoils the memory, and it retains nothing that it takes in." - Leonardo da Vinci
did you know mel gibson isn't from austrailia? he was born in upstate new york, but his father moved him and his brothers down under to avoid the draft. mel was 13.
did you know honey can be used as an antibiotic? socrates once wrote about the medical uses for honey and it was pretty common place until the advent of the antibiotic. now, because of the overuse of antibiotics we have a spectrum of resistant bacteria and doctors are turning once again to honey, which has over 600 enzymes and antioxidants, attacking bactum from so many different directions it's impossiple for immunities to be developed.
why do i know this crap? i don't try to retain it, i don't put extra effort into it, i just do.
what worries me is that i can remember all this "useless" stuff and not anything usefull. i actually try to remember stuff for work and i lose it. microphone models, scripture addresses, car makes and models, any numerical sequence of any kind.
which leads me to believe either A) leonardo was wrong, or B) i'm wired totally backwards.
either way, i'm in fear for the fabric of this world.
have a nice day.
